Our history
On the way to the vacation paradise
1928
Over the years, the former inn has been constantly expanded and has become an inn. In 1928 the Gasthof Buchau with already 30 beds accommodates its guests from near and far all year round.
1973
Since 1973 the Gasthof Buchau has been owned by our family Rieser. The reason for the purchase was not only the beautiful fields, but also that Annemarie Rieser, Hans’ mother, had spent her childhood at the inn.
1980
Soon the family began the transformation into a hotel and family resort. In 1980, Hotel Buchau already has 100 comfortable beds, 39 of which are rooms with private bathrooms.
2006
After numerous renovations and expansions, our family resort Buchau has been a member of the Kinderhotel Group since 2006, which ensures and distinguishes the highest quality standards.
2009
As a member of Kinderhotels, our quality is confirmed in regular audits. In 2009 we were awarded 5 out of 5 smileys and thus proudly stand for a family vacation of the highest quality.

The origins of the Buchau Inn probably go back even further into the past, but it was first mentioned by name in the church records of the parish of Eben.
